What formats do your products come in?
Some come in vector formats (.eps and .wmf), some in high quality raster jpg with high DPIs, some in PSD (Photoshop) format, some in CDR format(Corel Draw 10), some in Macromedia Flash 6/MX (FLA and SWF), some in Swish and some come as HTML files with images sliced to fit the design. Additionally, many of our templates now include blank jpgs or gifs for easy customization. You should check either the individual image description, or read the descriptive paragraph at the top of each category page to determine what is in the product that you are interested in for the exact description of what type of files are included with that specific download.

Will my membership be activated instantly?
Yes, you will be able to login instantly however there will be a download limit on the account until review of your order to confirm it is not fraudulent. Upon review, which will be no more than 24 hours, the download limit will be removed.

No, sharing an account is no different than distributing our materials to others. Individual accounts must be purchased by your friends and colleagues.

I bought a membership, but it says I'm not activated, what do I do?
Because of the high fraud plaguing this industry, all orders are reviewed for signs of fraudulence before accepting any order. Once an order has been reviewed and confirmed by a human representative, your account will be activated. This process will be completed as quickly as possible, but activation time will vary depending on time of day, the volume of orders awaiting processing, the users adherence to submitting verifiable and legitimate information, as well as other factors.

Will I recieve my Limited Purchase instantly?
Due to the nature of Limited Items, they are delivered by a download link thru email and only after they have been confirmed by phone. When purchasing a Limited Template, please be sure to use a valid phone number.

How do I change my email address and password?
You can update your password and email address by clicking the "Account Details" link in the Members Area on the left hand side of the page. Once there you will be able to update your account information accordingly.

Yes. You may not use a 3rd party script to access our site or downloads. Any attempt to automatically download our content in this way will result in the automatic suspension of your account.

How often will I be billed?
Aplustemplates.com offers 2 types of memberships. The 4 month membership bills only once and last 4 months from its inception date.
The yearly membership bills every 1 year on a recurring basis. It is our most popular and most affordable membership option for for users who require year round access to graphics.

Will my yearly subscription fee ever increase?
No, you are price-locked in from the date you join at the price you joined unless the account expires. At that point, you would be required to rejoin at whatever the current rate may be.

Can I edit the Swish movie in FrontPage/Dreamweaver/GoLive?
No, you must use the Swish program to make modifications to the movie.

Can I edit my Swish movie in Flash?
No, you may import a finished movie into flash, but can edit the actual Swish file only in Swish 1.5 or higher.

What version of Swish do I have to have?
Usually version 1.51 is sufficient, though an upgraded version is now available and will also work.

The .swi file is the editable file for Swish.

Are blank graphics included with the template package?
Yes. Blank graphics are included for each template package. The blank images are of the correct size to keep the layout intact after modifications. Some template packages contain sample images that are meant to be completely replaced with your image, not modified, such as a sample logo.

What format is used for the blank graphics?
The blank images are in either .gif or .jpg format. This allows for modification in the widest range of graphics programs.

How Do I view the entire Flash or Swish preview?
To view the entire Flash or Swish preview click the "VIEW FLASH PREVIEW" link below the small thumbnail of the image. (see image)

How do I navigate the members area?
The easiest way to to find what you're looking for is to use the search function at the top of any page. From the drop down menus choose Members on the next drop down choose match any word or match whole word and then type in your keyword/s. The 3rd dropdown is optional.
You can alternatively select the Members Downloads tab at the top of any page. That will take you to the most recent additoins. From there, choose the type of template from these selections ( see pic)
To narrow your search even more, choose a category to the bottom left.

Where is the Flash Intro Builder for members?
When I try to use the Flash Intro Builder I get an access denied message?
That message is given when a firewall is blocking the referrer in your browser header. Try turning off your firewall temporarily.

I've turned off my firewall but still see the Access Denied message?
Make sure your accessing the Flash Intro builder from either the link on the Home page for the trial builder or from the link from the Members Builder. You cannot bookmark the builder to access it.

How many intros am I allowed to build?
You can build as many intros as you'd like with a membership to Aplustemplates.com. We also offer 5 free intros for non-members to Enjoy.

How do I remove the link on my free intro?
In order to not have a link on an intro you must build it from the Member's Intro Builder in the members area.

I'm using the intro ID sent in the email after building my intro but I cant seem to edit my intro?
Only intros built with the Members Intro Builder can be edited. If you built your intro with the free version on the home page and then became a member you will need to rebuild the intro from the members builder. From then on it will be editable.
We recommend saving your text in a txt file so you can copy and paste it into the Members Intro Builder to save time.

What files should I get in my email?
When you receive the email with your files you should have an index.html, intro.swf, content.swf and sound.swf file.

I didn't get an index.html file?
Some virus software like Norton or MacAfee will prevent the index.html file from coming thru. You can either change the settings for the program or turn it off. You can also copy and paste the html from below and save it as index.html

What do I do if my current homepage is index.html?
You need to rename your current home page to something like index2.html so the builder is seen first.

I've renamed my homepage but how do I forward the intro to the new page when its done playing?
When building the intro you need to go to Edit Text and then to the Contact Screen. The first text box is the url to connect to after the intro. Input the full url of your homepage.
example: http://www.yoursite.com/index2.html

Where do I upload the files on my web server?
Upload all files that came in the email to your web root directory.

How do I edit my Flash template using the PSD file?
The PSD file is provided to allow you to make changes to the core image(s). However, the best way to integrate this into your flash page is to do the following:
1. Open the PSD file and make edits as needed.
2. In Photoshop, flatten layers and then choose Save As to create either a JPG or PNG file (.png would be used if you want areas of transparency...otherwise, always use JPG).
3. Open Flash and then import the JPG or PNG file that you've created into the library. Unlike HTML, Flash will not auto-recognize an updated file and auto-update/overwrite it for you. Thus, you will need to place the updated image on the timeline where the original was placed. The easiest way to do this is to find the original image file in the Flash library and double click it. Once in the editing stage for the graphic, highlight the graphic, delete it, and drag the updated image you created from the library onto the stage in the exact same spot. To make it easier to get it aligned perfectly where the old one is, you can create a new layer (in the image editing stage), put the new one on top of the other so that you are perfectly covering the original, and then delete the old layer beneath it once you're done.
4. Finally, export your flash movie. Every image used in a flash movie is part of a library and will be compressed into the file at the time of export. Thus, any changes you want to make down the road will require the same steps as above. Also, this means that you do not need to upload any of the image files used in a flash movie to the hosting server, as they are not referenced outside of the generated .swf movie.
